Root Canals
Root canal treatment is required when the pulp (nerve) of your tooth becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can be caused by a variety of factors including deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, a crack/chip in the tooth or trauma. A CBCT scan will be taken of your tooth to visualize the 3D canal structure of the tooth. Using the latest rotary technology, the inner canals of the tooth will be cleaned, shaped and disinfected. The tooth will be sealed from crown to root tip. It is highly recommended that the tooth be crowned to protect it from fracture. A root canaled tooth is now dry and brittle due to no blood supply.
