Caring for your oral health during the Covid 19 pandemic

Our team follows the most current and proven infection control guidelines set forth by the CDSBC in collaboration with the BCCDC, Work Safe BC and the Public Health Office.  Routine protocols have been used for decades to protect dental patients and teams. Additional safety measures have been added to address current issues specific to the COVID-19 pandemic. As always, the staff are wearing the Level 3 surgical masks for your and their protection.

Some of the new measures taken by our office to keep you safe include:

  • Screening prior to all appointments
  • Patient masks available upon request
  • Minimal people in the reception area
  • Magazines and reading materials removed from waiting room
  • Hand sanitizing prior to  entering and leaving the clinic and in all dental operatories
  • Reduced patient flow to ensure adequate physical distancing
  • Requesting only the patient receiving dental treatments is present in operatory

Some continued measures behind the scenes:

  • Maintaining thorough disinfection of all treatments areas between patients
  • Screening of the staff for any COVID-19 symptoms
  • Level 3 surgical masks for all aerosol and non-aerosol generating procedures

DO NOT enter the clinic if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sneezing / runny nose, difficulty breathing), have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive or is suspected COVID-19 positive, have travelled outside of Canada recently or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

We are committed to your well being and thank you for your continued support.  We consider each of you to be a part of our dental family, so take care of yourselves and each other.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding our safety measures, please give us a call at 250-541-7373 or email any questions to info@toothdoc.ca
