I love going to the dentist. My teeth and my smile are my claim to fame! Over the last decade and a half my gums have been progressively receding, and the sensitivity of so many of my teeth had reached a point where getting a cleaning twice a year was becoming increasingly laborious. Luckily my hygienist at Siwoski Dental is amazing and has been able to keep me from jumping out of the chair on numerous occasions! Last year Dr Siwoski came to check my teeth after Lee-Ann had finished my cleaning, and the subject of grafting came up. He told me about a new technique that he had been taught called Pinhole Surgical Technique–a totally non-conventional grafting procedure with no scalpel and no sutures. We decided to do my whole upper arch first. After the procedure I was a bit swollen and had a minimal amount of pain. At my check up at the end of week one I was so thrilled with how my gums looked that I booked an appointment to get my bottom arch done! By the end of week two I was 100%. I seriously could not be happier with how this procedure went from start to finish!
